I will do monthly updates if it kills me. *resolute pose*
Sooo~ Let me see....
ruderal_species has finished her first rough draft of Gekijou: Jose and Carmen. Hopefully she won't mind me linking to it here, since the entry in her journal isn't locked. ;) She may also have another announcement for everyone fairly soon, so keep your eyes on this journal!
I am extremely thrilled to report that the timing of the subs for Elisabeth is DONE. We're going through and doing our final edits to make sure spelling, punctuation and such didn't get missed, and that everything is readable and as clear asmud possible. It'll probably still be quite a few weeks before we pronounce it done, but it's definite good news!
Gaisenmon and Epiphany are putting along, and you can see roughly where we're at by keeping your eye on their project pages.
muffin_song is contemplating a possible Top Secret project, and I'd tell you all about it, but then I'd have to kill you. ;)
Anyone else? Anything to add?
And now I'm going to stand on my soap box while I have the opportunity and get some feedback from everyone.
1) Well, firstly, please don't be shy about adding your comments on the project pages to tell us (and everyone) what you thought about the show itself and/or the subtitles. We've definitely been changing our subbing programs and things, and it's great to have feedback about what you guys would like to see us doing. Plus, it gives other people a feel for which shows they might want to get from us, and the more feedback, the less we look like we're sending things off into a black hole. :)
2) Since I'm getting further along in Epiphany, I'm thinking about what I would like to do next, but I have some reservations on some of them, so I thought I'd ask you guys what you thought. (Well, actually, I also have a Top Secret project, but I can't do that one for a while, so....) In the plus side for all of these, they're some of my all-time favorite and adored shows. I'll list my reservations below.
My possible thoughts are:
① Eire no Zanshou -- No reservations about this one, actually. It is love, love, LOVE.
② Figaro! -- Will very likely be out on DVD within the next 5 or so years.
③ Scout -- Also likely to be out on DVD when Tomu becomes a top star, and I don't have a script, so it'll take me a while, if it's doable at all.
④ Futari Dake ga Waru -- Also another show which is complete love, though not too terribly original, since it follows the Zuka Central America Plot Generator cliches. ;) Unfortunately, my copy is scratched enough that I can't copy it directly, so I'd either need to find a new copy, or copy it in a very round-about fashion which would degenerate the quality to a VHS level.
Oh! And ⑤ SAY IT AGAIN -- This is a Bow Hall starring Naruse Kouki and Asami Hikaru, based on "Two Gentleman of Verona". Would people want another Shakespeare adaption right after I finish Epiphany?
I'm not going to do a poll, because then only lj people could vote, so just drop a note below if you'd like, please! Just remember, I still have to finish Epiphany, so it'll probably be a while before I move on. ;)
~Jen
ETA: I'm really glad to see some people commenting! But I do want to say something here because I think my post was a little misinterpreted. I've already narrowed down the shows that I want to do to the list above, so I'm really not looking for other suggestions. There are so many great shows out there, I totally agree, but translating takes a lot of time, so I really want to work on shows that I love personally. What I'd like to know is, out of that list, which ones seem most interesting to you guys as well? :)

I'll just hold off on my Secret Project until then too. Heh heh... We pretty much all have Secret Projects. I feel so devious. ;)

I feel so devious.
^^;; I feel lost. I'm not even sure what everyone is talking about anymore. *snerk*

You know what would make a great Secret Project for everyone? MARRAKECH. <3

Ohh Figaro!! I heard good things about that one and its Mizu so you can't go wrong, :)!
I wouldn't mind another Shakespeare series but if I were to pick one, it would be Romeo & Juliet '99, :D!

One vote for Figaro! Noted. ;)
I love R&J'99, but since it was just released on DVD I would rather do something which isn't widely available.

Suggestions
Re: Suggestions
Were there any from the list above that sound interesting to you? I'm afraid I'm not really looking for other suggestions right now, although yours are definitely noted! (Personally, I really didn't like either Utakata or Ludwig, so I wouldn't work on them, but I think there are some Sora TIP girls who might be persuaded by Utakata after they finish their Top Secret project. ;))
Lucifer's Tears hasn't been broadcast yet, though when I just looked at the SS schedule, they have it listed for next month. So maybe someday! Personally, I'd like to work on some shows now that you can't buy anymore, to give more people a chance to see them. :D But.... *looks at the other translators*

As for other suggestions, umm... this is kinda silly, but I'm not a fan of the TIP sticker thingy that goes on the CDs. Usually I just peel them off. If it came as like a CD insert or note or something instead I wouldn't mind, but I don't like the sticker.

Hmm... Noted, thank you! Is it because of the design, or do you just not like it being a sticker? Is there anyone else who doesn't like them?

.... I need a Scout icon, I think.

And I have a concern. I e-mailed in for an order of Season of Angels and Glassy Landscape but haven't gotten a response yet. So wondering if maybe my e-mail didn't go through or hasn't been looked at yet.
I really loved the subtitling jobs on Seal of the Roses and Nova Bosa Nova. Though my technology seems to hate me as after my family DVD player died, all of my stuff (my laptop, PS2, etc.) seem to have issues playing the discs. x_x;; I think I'm just cursed. But I was wondering if there are certain players that may not play the discs very well (though oddly enough the DVD player that did play them was an old one, so go figure) and if anyone else has had a similar issue or am I seriously just cursed? *laughs*

About the disks... eep! That's no good! I wonder if anyone else is having that problem? I haven't heard it from anyone else yet, but that might just mean they don't want to tell us? ^^; One possibility you might check is to see if the disks are DVD-R or DVD+R. Some players have problems with DVD+Rs, and so I try to avoid them, but different members of the group have covered distro at different times, so that might have something to do with it. But I've never heard of a computer having problems with DVD+R before.... And I've actually used my brother's PS2 to play some over the holidays. Hm. Well, since you're ordering new discs and will be paying for shipping, I'll talk to

Hard Boiled EggEire no Zanshou.when Tomu becomes a top star
Is this the consensus? Because that would be great. ^^
no subject
I think it's pretty certain. *knock on wood* I can think of only one instance in the last twenty years when a nibante didn't continue to be a top star....

The "nibante" is the second-ranked otokoyaku star in the troupe. Things are a little confusing right now, so Flower Troupe is a little uncertain, but for Moon it's Kiriya Hiromu, for Snow it's Ayabuki Mao, for Star it's Yuzuki Reon, and for Cosmos it's Ranju Tomu.
The takawiki database got corrupted, unfortunately. The woman who created it is trying to reformat it, but she doesn't have internet at home and she's been very busy since it went down. We're hoping she'll have more time to work on it in the next couple of weeks. You can see more on it here:

Just wanted to chime in that I'd love to see SAY IT AGAIN, mostly because I'm a sucker for Komu. Based on the actual shows, though, I admit I'm pretty intrigued by your review of Scout as well. :)

SAY IT AGAIN is a really great show, and I definitely intend to do it someday. :D Looks like Scout is winning by a landslide, though, from things other people have been telling me. Well, we'll see if I can actually do it without a script in front of me. ^^;
