Oops, looks like I never did an official announcement, but "Akechi Kogorou's Incident Report -The Black Lizard-" was released last spring, and as of today, with the help of Nelle White, I have a bonanza of Ono-sensei shows for you.
"The Floating Bridge of Dreams" is no longer in print, so I pulled out my translation, fixed it up a bit, and am happy to announce a TIP fansub of one of my top 3 shows. Music-wise, it may be my favorite. A gorgeous, haunting version of the last chapter of The Tale of Genji. Especially interesting because it was written for Moon Troupe after Sena Jun's partner had left, and so features several musumeyaku in prominent roles.
And, thanks to a generous donation of a fan, we also have the release of "NOBUNAGA", Ryuu Masaki's final show, a rock musical about the life of Oda Nobunaga.
Both shows have the haunting multi-part choral numbers that Ono-sensei loves so much, as well as some quirky moments of humor.
