[TIP] June '13 Update

Hey everyone!

International Distro is open again. Thanks for your patience♥

For the June update I will say that Angels' Ladder is in the beta stage, getting edited by some fabulous and meticulous folks. I'm hoping to release it around the beginning of July.

Anyone have a preference on Grand Theater performances over Bow Hall, or vice versa? So far as TIP projects are concerned, I mean. I have a couple of projects in mind, but I don't want to give too much away. So you get to choose the shell on the left or the shell on the right. ;)
(ETA: Woa, woa! I love all of you for responding, but I'm not looking for title suggestions. My list is too long already, I'm sorry. I'm just trying to narrow it down.)

To my mind, it's a) interesting performances and b) good _stories_ that matter, not the venue. That really doesn't answer right or left, sorry, but you did ask. :-) me, I'd love to see a TIP of Black Rose of the desert but that never made it to Sky Stage did it?

[identity profile] helsgard.livejournal.com 2013-06-26 07:15 pm (UTC)(link)
No. Was a pretty dumb comment, wasn't it? :-/

:D Nah, I'm just pulling your tail.

Young Bloods - Sparkling Moon? ._.
I'd love to see that subtitled! (But maybe I'm pretty alone with that ^^')

Fair enough! Thanks :)

I think either Grand theatre or Bow Hall, to be honest. But if I had to vote for a specific show - I don't know if it has aired on Sky stage yet or not, but I would really love a subtitled version of Hanagumi's Bow hall "Victorian Jazz", since it won't be released on DVD :)

I second Victorian Jazz from from the bottom of my heart. <3

Btw, Sky Stage had already aired this awesome show. :-)

I guess the answer is "it depends" ;-) but for a choice in the dark I'd say Bow Hall since they often seem more dialog driven thus leaving me more confused.

[identity profile] helsgard.livejournal.com 2013-06-25 06:46 pm (UTC)(link)
What Quinquin said, now that I think about it. And "Shangri-la"? Has it been broadcast? Oh for a translation of that!

[identity profile] rachpena.livejournal.com 2013-06-25 07:24 pm (UTC)(link)
2nd or 3rd what quinquin said. Shangri-la! OMG! That needs a translation. I guessed and made up my own story for that one.

I agree with the general sentiments. Place doesn't matter so much, but shows which are more dependant on dialogue to really enjoy are always a good prospect for TIP. Like Epiphany, I would've been totally lost if I'd watched that without you guys. I think generally Bows tend to be more like that? So I guess I'll go with Bow Hall.

I usually prefer Bow Halls so seconding what others already said, Shangri-La and Victorian Jazz would be amazing!

Hi, Anna from Finland here again!

I don't know if it's possible for you guys to do but I'd love to see any of these 4 Zuka shows subbed:

1. A Kiss to the Flames [Honoo ni Kuchizuke] (Cosmos 2005)

2. Manon (Hanagumi 2001)

3. Calaf and Turandot [Hououden - Karafu to Tuurandotto] (Cosmos 2002)

4. Passionate Barcelona [Jounetsu no Baruserona] (Snow 2009)

Thanks!:)

Anna

I know, it's a bit too obvious, but I simply can't help it:) They are mysterious, strong-willed and seductive (and I mean 'seductive' with Capital S:)

The reason why I asked about those 4 was that I own 3 DVDs out of 4 (the only DVD missing is Manon;) and would love to see them subbed

I've gone through the comments and now I'll answer the original question properly: I also vote for more Bow Halls. Mainly because those are less likely to be on DVD

Anna

P.S. The title of your projects doesn't really matter, the most important thing is, that you guys give us the unique oppurtunity to see subbed Takarazuka and actually own the play we love. Keep it up, you are all great!!!

I'm happy to see subs of both but I also vote for more Bow Halls! Mainly because those are less likely to be on DVD and all.

Susano-o!♥

... Sorry, I'm easily distracted. XD

Good point about the DVDs, definitely! It's why I've been trying to focus on older shows and Bow Halls lately. :)
